Last updated: 3rd September 2025

Introduction

Ticket Terms and Conditions: These Ticket Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) set out the terms on which Event Hire Show Management Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) sells tickets to The Royal A&P Show of New Zealand, hosted by The Canterbury A&P Association.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions do not limit any of your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.

Ticket Dates: The date that is shown on your ticket is the only day it will be valid for. Please do not come on a different day, as you will be turned away.

Transfer Policy: Unfortunately we can’t directly change tickets. However, if you repurchase your desired tickets, we can then refund your original purchase (minus transaction fees associated with the booking).

Once you have purchased your desired tickets send us an email with the original order confirmation number as well as the new order number. We will process this as quickly as possible.

Transfer Procedure: To request a ticket refund once you have repurchased your desired tickets as above, please contact our customer service team via support@theshow.co.nz.

Refund requests for transfers must be submitted via email at least 12 hours prior to the start time of the event date you are requesting a refund for. Please note, refunds will only be issued where the preferred day tickets have been purchased prior to the original ticket event starting.

Refunds: We do not issue direct refunds if you are no longer able to attend. If you are unable to go to the day you have selected you must follow the transfer procedure. Booking fees & transaction surcharges are non-refundable. No refund or transfer requests will be considered after the date of your ticket.

Ticket Validity: You are responsible for checking all information provided when purchasing a ticket. Tickets are valid only for the specified event date and time indicated on the ticket. Any unauthorised duplication or resale of tickets is strictly prohibited and may result in cancellation without refund and the ticketholder may be refused admission.

Event Modifications: The event organisers reserve the right to make changes to the event schedule, program, or location as deemed necessary. Attendees will be notified of any modifications via email or other designated communication channels. Except as required by law, there will be no refund of any event tickets where there has been a change to the event schedule, program or location.

Rescheduling and Cancellations: Our events are all-weather events, and you should be prepared for all weather conditions when purchasing a ticket. Generally, events will take place in the event of rain or other similar weather, and we will not refund or transfer your ticket in the event of rain or other similar weather.

However, if we are not able to run an event due to adverse weather conditions, or if an event cannot take place due to an event, circumstance or situation outside of our reasonable control (including any act of God, natural disaster, pandemic, government sanction or an order of the New Zealand Police), then we may either:

• postpone the event; or

• cancel the event.

Postponement: If we postpone the event in the above circumstances, we may transfer your ticket to the event to an alternative day, which is subject to event capacity and availability. In these circumstances, your event ticket will be able to be used on this alternative date, and you will not be entitled to a refund (unless otherwise required by law).

If you cannot attend the event on the alternative day, we will grant you a refund upon your request (minus the transaction fees associated with the booking). Refund requests due to postponement must be submitted via email at least 12 hours prior to the start time of the postponement date.

Cancellation: If we cancel the event in the above circumstances, we will grant you a refund upon your request (minus the transaction fees associated with the booking).

Refund Request: To request a refund in any of the circumstances permitted above, please contact our customer service team via support@theshow.co.nz. The event organiser shall not be held liable for any consequential loss, inconvenience, or travel expenses as a result of postponement or cancellation.

Booking fees & transaction surcharges are non-refundable.

Liability Waiver: Attendees participate in the event at their own risk. The event organisers shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, or inconvenience incurred during the event.

Age Restrictions: Certain events may have age restrictions or guidelines. Please refer to event-specific information for details regarding age suitability and admission requirements.

Compliance with Rules: Attendees are expected to comply with all event rules, regulations, and instructions provided by event staff and security personnel. All events are strictly smoke and vape free.

Reservation of Rights: The event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or eject any attendee who violates event policies, engages in disruptive behaviour, or poses a safety risk to themselves or others.

Bag Search: It is a condition of entry to the event that a search of you and/or your possessions be conducted at the time of entry to the venue and at other times if requested by the event organiser or event staff. This may include, but is not limited to, bag checks, pat downs and metal detector tests. If you do not consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the venue, or evicted from the event.

Variation to Terms and Conditions: We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time, by posting an updated version on our website. Any variations will only apply to ticket purchases made after these Terms and Conditions have been updated.

Privacy: When you purchase a ticket for an event or communicate with us, we collect your personal information. These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with our privacy policy, which you can locate here.

Contact Us: For ticketing inquiries or assistance, please contact support@theshow.co.nz.

General: These Terms and Conditions will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of New Zealand.
